Those who love opera music will be happy to know that theEnte<\/strong> Luglio Musicale Trapanese<\/strong> organizes many activities and events of great artistic significance<\/u> throughout the year.<\/p>\n

It is the Villa Margherita<\/strong> that houses the prestigious “Theatre of Tradition<\/strong>,” recognized as such on November 23, 2003 by a Decree of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities.<\/p>\n

Born to “replace” the Garibaldi Theater<\/strong>, destroyed by bombing in World War II, it gradually managed to consolidate and become a very important artistic and cultural center.<\/u> Becoming an Entity in 1958 and acquiring legal personality in ’92, the “July<\/strong>” was able to join the ranks of International Institutions operating in the field of Lyric Theaters<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

One of the most well-established events in the city of Trapani, of great attraction, thanks also to the high level of performances, it is the reference point for those who love music<\/u>. The opera activity initially took place only in the summer period, later it also covered the winter months. <\/p>\n

Special recognition goes to Maestro Giuseppe Di Stefano<\/strong> proponent of the “International Competition – Youth and Opera<\/strong>.” Numerous competitors from different parts of the world participate in this initiative; the purpose is to include them in the activities of National Theaters. A “Professional Musical Initiation and Improvement Course for Opera Singers<\/strong>” is also organized for the on-site training of specialized personnel. <\/p>\n

AnOpera-Symphony Orchestra<\/strong> of “July<\/strong>” curated by Filippo Zigante was also born. The musical seasons are so successful both because of the presence of foreign artists and personalities who come to the theater<\/strong>, and because of the presence in the area of assets of inestimable beauty such as Temple of Selinunte<\/strong>, Theater of Segesta<\/strong>, Erice<\/strong>. <\/p>\n
