| The town - Vita
The little village of Vita rise in a hilly zone between Salemi and Calatafimi. Also here, the violent earthquake, that in 1968 upset the Belice Valley, leaved a mark; the town is in practice divided in two zones: the historical town-centre, partly uninhabited, where the town-hall is located, and the new centre. Vita has no significant art works but is anyhow appreciable from a naturalistic and landscape point of view. Less than 2 km far from the town is located the Bosco della Baronia (Baronia wood): excellent destination for excursions, also thanks to the presence of areas supplied with wooden tables and barbecue for cooking in the open air. The surroundings are fit to them that want to take some walks, to be in contact with nature and to breathe fresh air. Among the interesting manifestations: the feast of the Madonna of Tagliavia.
