For 2025, the Lenten rites of “Scinnute” begin on Friday, MARCH 7.

It is a ritual dating back to around 1600, which takes place on the six Fridays of Lent in the Purgatory Church.
It currently consists of moving one or more Sacred Groups, adorned with flowers and silverware, to the center of the church where Holy Mass(or a moment of prayer) is celebrated, while in the square in front as usual, before and after the celebration, a marching band intones the characteristic funeral repertoire.

All “Scinnute” will be preceded by outdoor musical performance at 6:15 p.m.
Prayer meeting from 7 to 8 p.m.
Outdoor musical performance until 9 p.m.
