The Yellow Melon - Paceco
The yellow melon is a typical Mediterranean fruit and in particular one of the first products cultivated in the province of Trapani where it is also called "winter melon" because of its characteristic long conservation and more and more sweetness. It can be recognized by its yellow colour very strong and the elongated shape. It is sowed between March and April and reaped since June. The production in the province of Trapani reaches very high levels. The environment is ideal thanks to the temperate climate and the morphology of the soil that gives it a nice flavour. You can eat it without anything else as well as in fruit salads or desserts.
